Kingsley Udoakpan is a global business leader with over 10 years progressive experience within the chemicals, life science, pharmaceutical, food and beverage industry. He has worked in senior level leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies like Merck and ADM succeeding in diverse functions including strategy development and implementation, business development, sales and marketing: covering 46 countries, 54 business partners across over 15 industrial clusters in Africa.
Kingsley’s exceptional leadership, communication, and execution skills made him the winner of the prestigious Merck CEO Award presented to change agents and leaders who had made tremendous impact in Africa during the Ebola crisis. He oversaw the company’s rapid response to the COVID-19 pandemic and drove coordination of global initiatives to safeguard the health of employees and ensure business and supply chain continuity, so the company’s life-saving products reached laboratories and communities in need. Kingsley has also led several ideations, product development and launch of refreshingly innovative and successful beverage brands in West Africa.
He’s currently the Commercial Director, West and Central Africa at Finwerd Flavours & Fragrances, leading and supporting greenfield and active food, beverage and nutrition projects in West Africa as well as Adviser to several investors in the continent.
Mr. Udoakpan is happily married with 2 boys and a strong Chess player. He’s an Alumnus of the prestigious Afrika Kommt Fellowship supported by the Federal President of Germany, GIZ and DAX listed companies in Germany. Kingsley is actively engaged in giving back to his community as he sits as board of trustee member of JAYWEF, a non-profit organisation supporting the plight of widows in Nigeria and Africa.
